Okay so I lost a huge amount of weight – pretty much became anorexic. When I started eating again – I gained double what I lost. Now – I am bigger than I ever have been. I am not sure if I am allowed to mention the names of the different plans (eating plans) that I have been on – but those have not been successful and very expensive. I found that they have to be a lifestyle change and the foods are bland with no taste. I try to watch what I eat(portion size) – I recently joined a women’s only workout center..yes, i feel good after working out but I don’t see any difference after going 3 times a week for 45 min each visit. I’ve tried different kinds of weight-loss pills. I almost feel I am predetermined to be big – my mother was and recently had stomach surgery – she is georgeous now..but I don’t want to have to do that and I am not big enough yet to qualify for that surgery…please help…suggestions? ideas? NO GIMMICKS! Thank you!
And another thing – I don’t eat late, I do NOT drink anything but water, and nothing is wrong with my sugar level or thyroid.

Stop drinking pop and suger drinks. You also should try to not eat very late at night.

Don’t count calories. Count your fat grams. Only get 30 fat grams per day. Drink lots and lots of water. and try some chromium piolconate for speeding up ur metabolism.

You know people who are anorexic or bulimic usually are unattractive and it’s also kind of gross. You should be happy with how you look or meant to look while being healthy. God built you to eat not to starve. Those who starved themselves did it for a cause like Gandhi. Leave it alone.

RUN! RUN! RUN! running is one or THE best ways to burn off excess fat!!!! i promise try it, and run/walk if you have to it will change your life.

cardio is betetr than weight lifting for loosing wieight so go run.

and another thign you could do is buy a punchign bag and beat the crap out of it every night and learn some combinatrions and how to kick box a little bit, or muay thai kick boxing, working a bag will burn off fat and get you in shape fast, and buy bas ruttens mma work out (google it or i mean YAHOO it) its a good cd to help you, he yells out combinations and stuff.

check this out! i know that this may sound crazy but this is what my recruiter does to help overweight girls joinf the army. Buy some prepation H and sarahn wrap. spread it accros your stomach or anywhere you want to loose weight and wrap it with the sarahn wrap. use this when you go running and wear a lot of clothing to help you sweat it out. she does this to make people loose 10 pounds in 3 days. im serious and i can get people to back me up in this!

Try this: get some no fat yogurts at Wal-mart. I love the vanilla. Get pecans and eat a yogurt mixed with pecans for breakfast.

Same for lunch.

Drink lots of water.
For dinner eat a Healthy Choice dinner(they are delicious!!)
Exercise 20 minutes every day.

Do this for 3 weeks and watch the pounds drop off!

Have you tried the juice diet? Buy frozen conc. juice, every time you get hungry drink a glass of juice. Try walking briskly every day for a month and see if you don’t get good results.

Q&A–: Why is my back taking the brunt of my work out?
I have been walking with my four month old son now for about a month and a half, mostly up and down hills with a stroller, he weighs 17lbs.

I walk at a quick pace so I am always sweating. My legs are not nearly as sore, but my back is killing me. I want a good body work out and walking up hill seems to do the trick but it feels like my back is taking a beating.

My question is why is my back SO sore after these walks? I can’t remember my back hurting this bad when I worked out regularly before getting pregnant…Does anyone have advice on getting a good walking workout with out putting so much stress on my back? Walking on flat surface doesn’t really get my heart rate up.

I’m 25, and I can handle a challenge, so let me know any good workout tips or techniques for a woman working out with a baby.

Check your posture. You might be walking differently than you used to. Try to to keep your lower back straight & your tailbone tucked under.

This was taken on the north side of 78th & Broadway, taken from the west side of Broadway, heading downtown. I’m guess that this guy is either a tourist, or maybe just a regular guy who finished a workout in a local gym, and who’s enjoying a few moments of relaxation in the sun before going back to his afternoon routine…

In late June, I spent three afternoons walking up and down Broadway, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, from 72nd Street to Columbia University at 115th Street. My objective was to photograph the variety of people sitting on park benches along what is formally known as the "Broadway malls" — ie., benches located on the north side and south side of the median strip that separates the uptown side of Broadway from the downtown side.

Since my travels did encompass three separate days, I saw an even wider variety than I might have seen on a single afternoon; on the other hand, the pictures all reflect a single season. At Toni’s suggestion, I’m going to make a similar photo-journal in the fall, winter, and spring — to see if there are entirely different people, or whether it’s basically the same people, but wearing different clothes…

In any case, on this occasion I saw young and old, black and white, men and women, rich and poor — students, children, retired people, widows, widowers, homeless people, construction workers, babysitters, and tourists. As is common in today’s society, a remarkable number of them were chatting on cellphones; but it was refreshing to see that many of them were chatting with each other. It was also a little sad to see several people sitting alone, with a wistful, melancholy look on their face.

Most of the park benches were occupied, though a few were empty. Most of the empty benches were fairly uninteresting, but a few looked sufficiently inviting that I felt they deserved a photo of their own.

For the most part, I ignored the photo opportunities that I saw on the sidewalk as I strolled along. But there were two major exceptions, as you’ll see midway through this collection: a young man with a bubble-making gadget, blowing the largest soap-bubbles I have ever seen; and a chess game between two middle-aged men. I also photographed a few of the street signs along the way — actually, I photographed *every* street sign, so that I could identify (and geotag) the location of all the other photographs.

I must have looked fairly serious as I went about my picture-taking activities, for three different people asked me if I was a photographer; and two different people asked me if I liked the Nikon D300 that I was using. As for the subjects of the pictures: most didn’t even realize I was photographing them, for I took advantage of a long telephoto lens to shoot them from afar. But a few did notice, and I got a couple of smiles and scowls. If any of them do happen to stumble upon the Flickr site where these pictures will live, I hope they’ll feel I’ve treated them kindly… I love them all …

    target a weight…..do WED-water,exercise,diet.dont try only one of this.its healthier if u can eat and burn.

  3. I believe it is all in how many calories you consume each day, as well as, the amount of exercise you do. I dont know how old you but I feel like my metabolism has really slowed down as I’ve aged and it is even harder to lose weight. Good luck!!!

    As you are well aware, there are plenty of ways to lose weight. However, do be sure that you are no longer anorexic before you start losing more weight.     Dont stop eating, just eat better foods. Alot of fruits and vegetables!
    Try and stop or cut down on junk foods, they’re full of sugar, and sugar will be transformed into fat if its not used.
    Get physical! Try walking or even jogging on a regular basis.
    Its not easy, and its a hell of alot harder to loose weight than it is to gain, but just follow these simple rules and it’ll work!

    okay well im going to tell you of a little trick i sometimes do when i feel like i’ve gained to much weight im a heavy girl of 200 pounds but its all well portioned but anyway i used to get the lawn garbage bags and make a sweat suit or if you have one already (the plastic kind) put it on go into your bathroom turn hot water on only and walk in place or jog it .actually depends on how big ur bathroom is to do certain exercise for at least 30 to 45 min everyday drink plenty of water and reduce one of your meals after about two weeks youll know the difference let me know what happens
