Now its almost finished with the basic design and stuff, and I was wanting to start advertising it so that people could start using it and signing up for the forums and such. Is there any hints/ tips? and if you could go and sign up for the forums, it would make me fairly happy =) The website is based on Health and just general wellness.

It’s all about the content you have on the site. Once you start posting content, you’ll notice traffic will begin. I’ve also used WordPress to create a blog and talk about content on my site. Google seems to pick up the content from WordPress in their search engines a lot. Blog about relevant information your visitors would find useful (I assume pertaining to health). That might get you started…

Gettings search engine ranking can be t most effectinve way to promote a site, unfortunately, this doesn’t happen overnight, luckily one key to seo is getting backlinks, also had a more immediate value of directly bringing in some visitors. Spend lots of time on related blogs, maybe more than on yours, getting respected, leave your link in post signatures, also in blog comments.
Some site flippers who buy a new forum, enhance it’s value then resell it will prime the membership with paid posters or content borrowed from other sites. mturk.com is a place to find workers to do very small job assignments for a few cents.

Advertizing tips, and how to generate peoples interest. I am having home parties with dark fondue chocolate that’s good for you, but I can’t seem to get anyone to come. Also, I would look into working with a local gym to help promote and sell your product at their facility.
