mens summer fashion–: What are your thoughts about males wearing a Speedo?
This summer I made a stepping out of my comfort zone goal. My goal is to wear a Speedo at a beach or swimming pool. This would be my first time ever wearing a Speedo and I have some questions to prepare myself. 1. Are there any swimming locations that wearing a Speedo is not socially acceptable? For example: Beach = OK / Beach parking lot = Better put on shorts
2. How tight should a Speedo be? (skin tight, little bit of breathing room, etc?)
3. Which of the following risk-reward descriptions fits best with wearing a Speedo? For example: Exposed body (risk), but you look great wearing it (reward)
A. Low risk-low reward
B. Low risk-high reward
C. High-risk-low reward
D. High risk-high reward
4. What are the negative stereotypes of men wearing a Speedo?
5. Question mostly for women: what is your perception of men wearing a Speedo? (confident? silly? other opinion?)
6. If there is an attractive girl on the beach or pool and I want to meet her, should I approach her in the Speedo or slip on shorts before approaching her? (I would think if I were to go the Speedo route, I would seem less threatening and seem more open to her)
7. (probably the issue that I’m most concerned about) Are erections behind the Speedo really as noticeable as I think it is? I’ve tested it out and I feel that Speedos make it really noticeable, but that might be influenced with the fact that I’m the one wearing it and I feel it pushing against the Speedo, making it seem like it is more noticeable that actuality.
8. What is your opinion of the pic of the Speedo that I posted vs the traditional bikini bottom type of Speedo?

In all honesty speedos are never attractive. Being on a swim team, I can tell you even muscular guys, with great bodies mind you, look disgusting in a speedo. For question #3, the answer is high risk- low reward! As for question #6, please don’t approach a girl while you’re in a speedo. It’s extremely awkward, & you’ll come across as very creepy if you do. Please do us all a favor, if you’re in public keep your pants on. NO SPEEDOS

heyy before i answer individual questions i just want to start by saying that you need to do what is comfortable for you. with that being said
1. that is correct. beach is acceptable however when you are not in the sand and surf, cover up.
2. a speedo should be skin tight without cutting off circulation. just remember it will show everything
3. D. if you can handle being exposed like that you can be rewarded greatly.
4. i dont really know of any negative stereo types. a possible one i suppose is being gay but thats no likely.
5. i think wearing a speedo as long as you carry yourself confidently is very sexy. if you are kind of questioning your decision though it is kind of a turn of. so be confident!!!1
6.it is safe wearing a speedo as long as you dont get excited. if there is any chance of that happening slip on a pair of shorts
7. yes they are very noticible. you are wearing next to nothing (thickness wise) so it will be noticible.
8. your speedo is way more sexier then the bikini ones. those just look uncomfortable and make me uncomfortable. haha. good choice with that one. i like it : )

Hey bro,
Swim teams use them to attain more speed and have less drag.
This is where this style originated. With that in mind
unless your on the swim team or are training its not a
good idea to where a speedo. Most people that I know
think that speedos are about as sexy as a very fat lady
in a tight two piece. The style of trunks that are attractive
at the moment are swim trunks that go down just below the knees.
(psychologically speaking this is because woman like to be able to
mentally undress the handsome men, but if you have a speedo on
it can be difficult for them to feel comfortable staring, also its disgusting
if your an ugly guy ) Now with all that said if you like speedos and they make you feel great
wear them and to hell with what others think! Be yourself and be happy!

In most public places in the US speedos are frowned upon and will get your stares or worse from the slave to fashion morons. I personally think they are great, guys all over the world wear them with no one thinking anything about them, except for the US. Why, Im not sure, prudish attitudes?
The suit should be tight enough that it doesnt bag or sag anywhere, but not over tight so that you can see the outline of your penis head. You should wear your penis straight down so that the whole business forms a kind of indiscriminate lump. I you wear it to the side or up then it becomes obvious to everyone. By the way, you don’t have to have a perfect body to wear one either. Just wear it a be confident, little by little we can change the way america thinks

1 – It’s been my experience that wearing speedos are viewed in a neutral light while swimming laps in the pool. When you step out onto the beach, however, it’s a different story. People are more likely to gawk and gossip.
2 – Tight, but not to the point where everything’s twisted and you think you may be in danger of passing out. Speedos are helpful for reducing drag, and for that, they must be, at the very least, snug.

4 – When most people hear the word, I think they immediately picture a fat, hairy man waddling down the beach.
5 – N / A
6 – I’d put on a shirt at least. Starting a conversation with her in just your speedo might put her off.
7 – As a guy, I totally understand your concern. When I first tried the style, that was one of my biggest worries as well. It’s true that your stuff is going to “show” to a larger extent than if you were to wear boardshorts – but if you just relax, it shouldn’t be a problem. The more you think and worry about it, the more likely it’s going to happen.
8 – More conservative, but still daring. A lot of the negative perceptions have to do with the “brief” style, so I think the style you’ve chosen should keep you out of any hot water.

That’s hard to say without knowing what YOU look like. For all we know, you could be chubby with short arms and legs. In which case, they might not look good on you at all.
