Not all older women look their age…So it all depends on what a particular woman looks like and how she carries herself. For example, even a young woman can look bad in some clothing designed for younger people if she doesnt carry herself with confidence with what she’s wearing……..

First of all, 45 is not old. Women are free to wear what they want, however wearing clothing marketed to a younger gereration tends to have the opposite effect, emphasizing the age difference, and making the wearer appear older than she really is.

I think you need to understand it is more than clothes.
Sometimes a person looks good and can carry it.
Sometimes, she cannot get a new wardrobe.
And it may be psychological. She feels like wearing them as she has has got an opportunity now.
