I love New York and Company. They have really cute stuff and a lot of the new ruffle shirts, dresses, and cardigans. I am 27 and it is one place that I shop the most. Another good place to try is H&M. They also have a lot of the ruffle shirts. They both carry a lot of great stuff you could wear to work and dress it up a bit, or leave it casual for the weekend.

I can understand why it’s one of your favorites; in addition to her expression I like her hands, vein lines in forearms and overall gaze; great entry for a photo contest

This is a wonderful photo of this sweet lady. I bet if you sat down with her for a few hours, she would have a lot of wonderful stories and great wisdom to share. Terrific capture!

I am betting she does not have a clue as to how good this photo turned out nor would understand much about how good a photographer you are. However, I am also betting, like Nan, that she could tell stories to easily make up a book. Glad she has such colorful clothes for your photo, even though she most likely does not have a lot of worldly possessions. Put this one in the SLO Coast Journal group: http://www.slocoastjournal.com/ Excellent capture, Marlin. What a great trip you have documented.

She looks like Joan Baez to me. Having just had cataract surgery today on one eye, I’m wondering how well she sees. Vision gets pretty cloudy with cataracts. Something I learned today, in the prep for the cataract surgery, is that the reason the veins stand up when you age is because you lose your body fat in your hands and arms. I can really relate to this woman but what diffrent worlds we live in. I would be blessed to age as well as she has. I wonder how old she is: 60, 70, 80, 90 100? It is a great photo Marlin. She is lovely, poised and beautiful. Thanks!

Interesting comment about her vision, Mardi, because my first impression of her was–besides being very colorful and having a great face–that she was blind. Our conversation was very short–me asking if I could take her photo and her acknowledging and accepting several quetzales (their currency) from me– so I still don’t know if she could see or see well.

Perfect. Gorgeous woman and photo. I definitely want this in "Art-Online" (AO). I’d like to blur out the last two people, if it’s okay. The woman sitting in the near distance enhances the photo. What an inspiring photo. My readers will love it!
(NOTE: For photographers stopping by Marlin’s Photostream, "Art-Online," which features photographs, is always looking for excellent photos to display as "spotlights." AO’s current contributors: Marlin, Mike Baird and Bill Bouton. (http://artonline-mwc.blogspot.com) If you’d like me to look at your photos, for possible spotlights in AO, please contact me through Flickr or email me at mwc.wedesign@gmail.com. Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds to offer payment, or I would.)
