What should I wear to an engagement party coming up very soon? It’s at 6:30pm at someone’s house. The invitation said “dressy casual” for the dress code, and it will be kind of cool (50s) that night. The invitations were on the nice side (not super formal engraved or anything but nice)…

Ohmigosh!!! I just had to get this searched, because my cruise required dressy casual.
It means that women should wear pants, skirts, the lbd etc. NO JEANS!
A formal requires to wear cocktail attire.

I am new to the modelling world and need to know what portrait, lifestyle, dressy casual, and fashion mean in terms of what to wear. I’m not a natural with this modelling lingo! Thank you!

Okay so this is what my agent told me in terms of those types of clothing and what to wear. Portrait is usually just your upper body and face. Sometimes it is just your face. In this case, you should wear some neutral makeup and maybe a floral shirt. Nothing too flashy, just natural! Lifestyle fashion is ensembles that you would we every day. Coming into the summer, you could wear some nice heals and a dress. Something that you might wear out to dinner. Dressy casual is something like jeans and high heals and a fancy top. It’s not over the top fancy, but it is dressy enough to go out on the town. Fashion means something that is current and would see in the pages of a magazine. Look at vogue, fashion, any magazines with the latest trends and find something that interests you from there. Hope I helped and good luck with your modelling!
