I have to go to a xmas work party and the attire is dressy/casual? Any idea what my boyfriend and I should wear? I don’t want to be too dressed up, but yet not dressed up enough.

Dressy casual mean nice slacks and shirts. No jeans, tshirts or sneakers.

Hey should wear dress pants and a button up shirt or nice sweater (or both), you should wear a skirt or dress something along those line – basically you want to wear the type of clothes you might wear to church on christmas or easter (well except for this cleavage ect is ok in good taste of course), not jeans ect but not cocktail wear either

To me, dressy casual is wearing something “nice”… something that you’d wear to church or to a bridal shower. In my mind, I picture a pretty floral or printed dress with a matching cardigan or a sleek pair of black trousers paired with a flattering blouse.
Always wear heels or some kind of pretty flat and a little bit of jewelry.

I would wear a nice knee length dress. Something simple and classic. A black dress would suit the ocasion. But you can also get away with a little colour too. Don’t be afraid to go out and try a bunch of stuff on to see what really flatters you.
