ok so im 14 years old and our school is hosting this party type thing at a restaurant but the attire says “dressy casual” i dont really get what that means. could u please explain it and give me some examples of what would be appropriate? thanks
oh and im a guy and i think i know what type of pants to wear like those black ones that arnt denim but i have no idea for the top…please help

Dressy casual — Men: jacket or collared shirt, pants.

For men a blazer and gray or tan pants are standard. Maybe a collared shirt…possibly a polo shirt

Hey! Well, dressy casual, what i like to think is dress up, and then take it down one notch! So, in agreement with the others, a nice collard shirt, and nice slacks, (dress pants). If you really wanna impress, throw on a jacket, no tie! That’s totally overboard. Hope this helps!

They mean don;t dress unappropriatly wear dress pants or a skirt with a nice blouse that isn’t revealin or pants at your knees

Wear a nice button down shirt and some dress pants.
You can probably get the whole outfit at Express! (they have nice men’s clothes)
