Question–: how do i stop a stiff cotton dress from creasing?
I recently got a white cotton dress which I hope to wear very soon actually so this is quite urgent!! It is 100% cotton but seems to crese very easily. I’m wondering is there any way I can minimise the creasing? I have an idea in my head that I heard spraying hairspray works is this true?!

I’m not positive about this but possibly if you use some magic sizing (starch) and iron it, maybe that will help make it softer. Also, maybe fabric softener if you don’t already use it in the laundry.

there used to be a downy reducer that might help.my daughter has a favorite white cotton halter dress that she loves to wear .i can’t wait for her to grow out of it cause i am tired of ironing the thing!

good lord people. STARCH will make it stiffer.
Have you washed the dress. If it is brandnew, it probably has the fabric treatment still on it, manufactureres starch them before sale to keep them looking crisp and fresh in the store. If you havet ime to wash, do. But you will have to iron it.
No time to wash? Get some fabric softening liquid that you pour into the iron- and iron it. It will soften it up.
