Today was one of the rare days I actually had to drive into the office. Normally I telecommute, so my "work outfit" is jeans and a t-shirt. But today I had to wear slacks and a button-down shirt, i.e. "business casual". But I figured I’d bring my hypnosis goggles with me so that I could err on the side of "casual".

What I wore to work on June 24.
A full floral skirt is a bit girlier than I normally go, especially with the little cardigan, but I think the shoes, belt and casual scarf keep it from looking too retro. My boss actually complimented on this look, and she has great style herself, so that was nice.

This blouse is one of those items that looks better in person – the ruffles and pleats don’t seem to photograph well.
I just wore the brooch last week, and I normally try not to repeat jewellery so quickly (because I have way too much jewellery), but it just seemed to be the perfect thing for this top.

I have a few things like that too. From what I can see though (can see the ruffles, but not the pleats), it looks like a pretty awesome blouse!
