I have a pair of leather sandal that I ADORE, and they discontinued making the particular style. I spent good money on them and they are in great shape. They just SMELL so bad, that I can’t wear them. I’ve tried cleaning them with soap and water, sticking them in the freezer (wierd..but someone suggested it), baking soda, foot and sneaker spray…
Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Clean them with saddle soap and get odor eaters. Good Luck!

Shoe stores usually sell a cleaner for leather shoes. Have you checked with an independent shoe store?

Get some “Saddle Soap” for leather, follow the directions.

try pouring rubbing alcohol in them, I hear that works (google it, you’ll see)

2 products we use on repairs and cleaning are Tannery and Lexol both are good for cleaning and conditioning, they can be found at many leather supply houses try Tandy they have many locations. after cleaning with one of these keep them outside in fresh air and then repeat once oder is gone you can treat them with a scotch gaurd product to help prevent the return of the problem
